Since moving to our new premises at 18 Greenhills Square, East Kilbride, G75 8TT we have been able to set up and run a community cafe.
This is a safe, warm space where anyone can come in for free tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat. It is open the same hours as the foodbank, i.e. 10am – 1.30pm.
Our community cafe is used to host out ‘A Space To Talk’ sessions. For more information on those go to our A Space To Talk page.
In the cafe we also have a PC set up for free access to essential services, including job applications, preparing CVs, looking for financial and mental health support, etc. The PC was donated by the Rotary Club of Strathaven.
The community cafe is also for smoking cessation classes, pensioners groups, narcotics anonymous and a variety of other community groups. Our hub truly is a community space o be used by all. Get in touch if you would like more information.
